Jenifer Brown (Maintenance Planner) - Class Of 2010

Jenifer Brown (Maintenance Planner)

Jenifer E. Brown

MISSOULA – Jenifer (Jenny) Brown, 60, of Missoula, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017, in Kona, Hawaii. She was born July 21, 1956, in Boise, Idaho, the ninth of 12 children, to Karlyle and Florence Brown.

Jenny attended St. Joseph Elementary School and Bishop Kelly High School. She spent her formative years reading, babysitting and connecting with family pets. She attended WSU, graduating with a degree in chemical engineering.

Jenny started her career with Champion International in Missoula as a process engineer. After the Pulp Mill closed in 2010, she worked for RockTenn as a process control engineer traveling to corporate mills throughout the U.S.

Jenny met the love of her life, Janele Sullivan, in 1984 while working together at the mill. They started a life filled with respect, love and a family of fur children. Jenny’s heart was open to everyone but especially to children and animals. She was happiest when she could bring a smile to the children in her life.

She bought her retirement home in Hilo, Hawaii. It was her future; sunshine, flowers and plants. Her house was open to all family and friends who wished to share her paradise. It was truly her heaven on earth.

Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, sister Janel and brother Mike.

Jenny is survived by her life partner, Janele (Shift Tester); sisters, Paula, Karyl, Ann, Mary; brothers, Dave, Jerry, Tom, Ken and Bob, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held at Orchard Homes Community Country Club on February 3, 2017 and was followed by a potluck dinner.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Fox Hollow Spay & Neuter Clinic in Corvallis, and Watson Children's Shelter in Missoula.

Rest in Peace dear Friend.

I had the pleasure of working directly with Jenifer the last few years that the mill was open and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to be around such a fine person.  She always had a smile even during adversity and she will be missed.  Too young, too soon.  God bless you and keep an eye on us.

Dear Jenny, your smile and friendlyness was alway a welcome greeting when I met you anytime or any where. It"s amazing to me but not surprising you came from such a large family of siblings. It is where your love and commpassion of people had to come from. I am deeply saddend by your early departure from this world. May the survivors of your life always remember your smiling eyes and love.  Rest in eternity in the Garden of Love.
