MISSOULA - Arlin "Art" Burniss Angelstad, 76, of Missoula, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, in his home of natural causes. He was born March 31, 1933, in Vicount, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Virginia and Melvin Angelstad. He started his career in the paper industry at MacMillan Blodel in Port Alberni, British Columbia. Moved to Missoula in 1960 to work at Smurfit-Stone Container Corp, worked his way up to assistant superintendent and retired after 39 years. While still living in Canada he married Geraldine Camponi and they had two children and later divorced. In 1963, he married Cleta Schwaderer. He played hockey in his younger years, loved fishing, pool and enjoyed golf.  He was an outgoing, fun-loving flirt.

Art was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Merlin 
Angelstad; sister Shirley Lowe; former wife Geraldine Camponi and his wife, Cleta Angelstad.

Survivors included brother Sheldon 
Angelstad of Martensville, Saskatchewan, Canada; sisters, Odette Carlson and Loretta Loewen, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; daughter, Carla Ingram of Freedmont, Calif.; son Perry Angelstad of Missoula; son Randy Schwaderer of Missoula; daughter Kim Angelstad of Missoula; granddaughters, Aubrie and Autumn Schwaderer of Missoula and granddaughter Deanne Ingram of Freedmont, California.

Services were held July 28,
 at the Garden City Funeral Home. A celebration at the Eagles Club followed the service.
