Dale Eugene Woodward

BAKERSFIELD - Dale Eugene Woodward passed away on January 27, 1999, at his home in Bakersfield, California.  Dale was born September 5, 1939, in Omaha, Nebraska; the son of Max V. and Lewellyn E. Woodward.

Dale graduated in 1957 from Park Hill High School in Kansas City, MO. I n 1961, he received a bachelor of science degree in wildlife management from Northeast Missouri State College in Kirksville, MO, as well as affiliating himself with Beta Chapter, Sigma Tau Gamma.

Dale married Jean Brackett in Portland, Oregon, in 1963.

He was preceded in death by his father.  Dale leaves his wife, and mother in Sequim, Washington, three sons, Bradley D. and Thomas E. of Bakersfield and Steven M. of Santa Barbara; three grandchildren; a brother, Lee B. Woodward and niece of Granger, Indiana.; and an aunt, Hope Woodward of Sequim.

He was noted in the field of safety, having held positions with Chevron, U.S. Borax Corp., Shell Oil and most recently Stone Container in Missoula.

Dale was a member of Masonic Sellwood Lodge No. 131 Portland, Oregon, in good standing and Al Malaikah Temple Los Angeles and Moose Lodge 25 year member No. 1677 California City, California.

His passions for life included hunting, fishing and enjoying his peace and tranquility on their property in Montana.

A memorial service was held at the MISH Southwest Funeral Home in Bakersfield, California.
