MISSOULA - Josh passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2004, at St. Patrick Hospital.

Randall J. Cogdill was born on June 28, 1941, in Spokane, Washington to Paul and Gladys (Weimer) Cogdill. He attended high school in Phoenix and then served with the Army for four years, stationed in Kitzengen, Germany.

In February 1961, he married Helga Kolloch in Kitzengen. In 1962, they moved back to Montana. Josh worked at Hoerner-Waldorf (now Smurfit-Stone Container Corp.) in Frenchtown from November 6, 1967, until his retirement in December 2003 as Kamyr Cook.

On April 18, 1962, his daughter Suzy was born, and on June 11, 1963, his son Randy was born. 

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and all outdoor activities. He especially loved fishing in the ocean, where he was able to take one last trip to Prince Rupert, British Columbia, with his daughter and grandchildren in July 2004.

The loves of his life were his three grandchildren, Allyse, Hannah and Lauren, whom he loved spending time with more than anything else.

He is survived by his daughter, Suzy (Jeff) Ouelette of Missoula; his son, Randy (Dessire) Cogdill of Whitefish; and his beloved grandchildren, Allyse, Hannah and Lauren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

Cremation arrangements were under the care of Garden City Funeral Home and Crematory.
