MISSOULA - Beatriz Irene Bencia, 80, of Missoula, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at St. Thomas House of natural causes.

Beatriz “Bea” was born on November 13, 1940, in La Paz, Bolivia, to Enrique and Beatriz Jordan.  She grew up in La Paz as a child and then moved to the states.  Bea married Jaime Bencia in 1966 in Los Angeles, California.

In 1980 Bea moved to Missoula with her mother, Beatriz Jordan, and her three daughters, Rocio, Scarlette, and Julissa.  It was then Bea began working for Champion International in Frenchtown, Montana.  She worked at the Frenchtown mill for 22 years until her retirement in 2002.  Bea enjoyed her retirement with her grandkids who live in Montana, Florida, and Brazil.

Bea enjoyed life to the fullest and be missed by family and friends!

Survivors include her three daughters: Rocio (Jeff) Nanstiel, grandsons Colin and Ethan of Florida; Scarlette (Marcos) Arruda, grandsons, Noah and Marco of Brazil; Julissa (boyfriend Tony Maillet), granddaughter Ellie Hensel and grandson, Miller Hensel of Montana.  The family also surviving are brother Orson (Sandy) Jordan, of Lolo; Grandnieces Leila and Brandy Jordan, great-grandkids Isabella and Connor, California; Niece Vanessa (James) Oster, Grandnephew Xander; and Nephew Ian Jordan.

Bea was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Aldo.

A funeral will be scheduled at a later date in Missoula, Montana.
