Mitch and Audrey had a place on Echo Lake, where they spent all of their youthful years enjoying with sister-in-law and her family. The rest of his years were spent going to see the kids and enjoying them and their families. In 1980 Mitch went to work at the Frenchtown mill, where he retired in 2003.

In 2006 Mitch was diagnosed with kidney failure.  He began dialysis and remained on dialysis until his death.  Many thanks go out to the dialysis center for the care and the kindness he was shown, and to the friends who helped transport him and who took time to visit him.

Mitch was preceded in death by his father, mother and three sisters, Claudette Mallon, Celine Nelson and Virginia Parenteau.
