Dorothy Edwards (Accounting) - Class of 1991 VIEW PROFILE

MISSOULA - Dorothy Elmira Edwards (the rock of her family) died November 4, 1998, after suffering a stroke. She was 73, born on March 24, 1925, in Charlo, Montana, to Fred and Elmira Raffety.

She worked as a secretary in Missoula for most her adult life, retiring from Stone Container in 1991. She and her husband Orrie lived on Mullan Road where they raised their family. She supported all the activities that her family members participated in from sports, horse racing, rodeos and 4-H projects. Her grandkids loved their special relationship with Grandma Dorothy. She enjoyed her yard and garden, and every family member has an afghan that she crocheted with a loving touch. She always welcomed many "adopted" kids and numerous friends of the family into her home (that was her way). Dorothy always appreciated close friendships, and she had many.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Orrie Edwards in 1994, her parents, her three (3) brothers, George, Sam and Lloyd Raffety, and her son-in-law Dan Palmisciano.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren, who will always cherish the special place they held in her heart. They are Donna Palmisciano and daughter Tracy of Bozeman; Bill and Sunny Edwards and their children Wil, Shannon and Matt of Chewelah, Wash.; Parke Edwards of Missoula; Susie and David Miller and their children, Hagan Schmidt, Jamie and Shea, Steve and Kathy Edwards and their daughter Emma, both families living in Florence; sister Esther Comfort Goodall of Hamilton; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Saturday, November 7, at the Malletta Family of Funeral Homes, Sunset Chapel. Services were held after the visitation at the funeral home. Interment followed in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please contribute to a charity of your choice that supports children.

Rest in Peace dear Friend.
