Clarence "Sonny" White (Kiln Operator) - Class of 1991

MISSOULA - Clarence D. "Sonny" White, 67, of Missoula, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at St. Patrick Hospital.

He was born August 22, 1939, in Grand Forks, N.D., a son of Earl and Irene White.  At a young age Sonny moved to Missoula with his family where he was raised and educated.

He received his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army and for over 36 years worked as a kiln operator for Stone Container before retiring.  Sonny was also a member of the VFW in Missoula.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary Lou White; and his second wife, Shirley White.

He is now survived by his son, Raymond White of Missoula; two brothers, Mervin 'Whitey' [PAPERMAKER] and David White, both of Missoula; sister Alice Turk of Alaska; one grandson, James White of Missoula; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Sonny's request no formal funeral service were held but friends and relatives gathered at the VFW Club in Missoula to remember and celebrate his life.

Arrangements were under the direction and care of Garden City Funeral Home and Crematory.
