MISSOULA - Clarence Donald Bare, 68, a retired electrician for the Hoerner Waldorf Co., died at his family home of a heart attack on Thursday, July 26, 1979.

Clarence was born October 30, 1910 in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, to Lewis Gilbert Bare and Nina Hope (Byrum) Bare. He was reared and educated in Spearfish, South Dakota.

Clarence Donald Bare married Cora Olive Crisman on October 30, 1936 in Port Angeles, Clallam Co., Washington. When he was 17 he moved with his family to Shelton, Washington for work with the Rainer Brewing Company.  Clarence and Cora moved to Missoula from Port Angeles, Washington, in 1957. He retired from Hoerner Waldorf Company in 1974 due to ill health.

Clarence was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aire No. 32, Missoula for many years.

Survivors included his wife, four sons, Benyl C. Rustman of Clinton, M. Sgt. David C. Bare of Puyallup, Wash., Patrick W. Bare of Kitimat, B.C., and Rockie L. Bare of Fox Island, Wash., one daughter Rosemary E. Thomas of Missoula, three brothers, Amos William Bare of Big Bend Calif.; Raymond Oliver Bare of Marysville, Wash.; and Lewis Edward Bare of Missoula, one sister, Clara Louise White of Fox Island, Wash., 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at Geraghty Funeral Home with the Rev. Beryl Burrr officiating. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Beryl, Alan and Bruce Rustman and David, Patrick and Rockie Bare.
