It's been a very busy year so far! I ended up going for an ambulance ride march 1st!! I was in icu for a few days with bacterial Endcocartitis and had a blood clot in my heart. I was very sick! I ended up in the hospital for a few weeks and then went to the home for a few weeks for rehabilitation! I was on strong antibiotics for the infection. I got released April 8th but had to go in daily for the antibiotics. I finally was able to get the pic line out and started the antibiotics orally. What an ordeal! I want to put a big thank you out to so many of my mill friends that came to visit me at the hospital and at the village!! I truly appreciate it! You saved my sanity! During all this going on my wife was going through her cancer and chemo. I am grateful to be here. My wife had a Ct scan in June and no signs of cancer!! I think we are both on the road to recovery!! We are both very grateful for all the prayers sent up for us!! Our grandson, Bryce graduated from high school in June!! I was so happy to be there to see it!! He is going to college at msu this fall!! Our Bailey will be a junior this year!! Time sure flies by!! We still hurt and miss our son, Kevin but he is forever in our hearts.We do the out of the darkness walk every year in the fall in his memory. Our son, Dan and julyn are still in polson!! He is the manager at walmart!! Our youngest son Ryan is in great falls!! He is manager of super 1 up there!! I am so proud of my sons and grandkids!!
2018 has been a better year! I am fully recovered now. My wife’s cancer is gone. So life is treating us good!!
2019 update: It has been a good year for the wife and me. She is still cancer free and I am in good health. The wife retired this year so we are finding our new normal! The kids and grandkids are all doing great! I turned 70 in March so the family gave me a surprise party! I got to see lots of family and friends! I went to Nascar in Vegas with my brothers and son.I am a lucky man!! Looking forward to the get together next month at Mill creek! I hope lots of you guys make it.
2020 update:Well we are all stuck at home trying to stay safe! Hopefully this won’t last too long. I hope everyone is doing well.
Update 2020: Hey I am still up right and here! It’s been a very strange year what with the covid going on. Luckily none of our family got sick. Both our sons are in retail so it was a big worry. We are all healthy and happy!
2021 update: Well we made it through a very strange year! All of our family stayed healthy and happy through it all. We ended 2020 with some very happy news! Our son, Dan and julyn are expecting a baby girl in July. We are all pretty excited about that. Babies are a blessing! Our son, Ryan is in the process of buying a house in great falls. He still doesn’t like it up there but was tired of renting.Luckily houses up there aren’t as crazy expensive as here! Kevin is missed everyday but is always in our hearts. Take care all my mill friends!
2021 August update:
We welcomed our new granddaughter, Dalyn July 2. She was a few weeks early. She weighed 5lbs 7oz. So she was pretty tiny! But being a Dewitt she is growing and is now almost 8 lbs. We are loving her so much. Life is very good!
Update 01/6/2023
It’s been an exciting 6 months! My brother,Ron had open heart surgery in May. Luckily he survived. In June we had a Dewitt family reunion in Billings. It was so great to see all the family. All the siblings were there. We are blessed!
July 2 was our munchkins 1st birthday! So we had big fun! Life is good!
And now another year begins! Make it a good one! Happy New Year!
July 2023
We are already halfway through the year! It’s been pretty uneventful,thank goodness! Everyone is staying healthy! Our youngest son, Ryan moved back home. He is assistant manager at super 1 in Hamilton. So mama is very happy!
Our newest granddaughter, Dalyn turned 2 July 2. She is so much fun! She is a firecracker! She has brought so much joy to our lives! Our grandson,Bryce and granddaughter, Bailey are both doing good. So life is good at the Dewitt home!
